The ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (FIELD OF STUDY), A.S. is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year university to earn a Bachelor of Science In Electrical Engineering. Students in this program will Perform engineering tasks in designing electrical components, instruments, and systems.

This Associate of Science is a discipline that applies principles of engineering, applied science, and mathematics to design and maintenance electrical and electronic equipment, systems, components, and processes. Students will enroll in classes and labs to gain knowledge in electrical circuits, digital system, motor control, and power stations.

Electrical Engineering Courses at Odessa College follow the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Lower-Division Academic Course Guide Manual and are transferable to ABET accredited four-year universities. The ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (FIELD OF STUDY), A.S. is a two-year, 60 credit hour program can lead to an entry-level Engineering technician careers or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at four-year universities.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (FIELD OF STUDY), A.S. prepares students to work in Electrical Engineering jobs such as Autonomous Systems, Energy and Power, Computers, Robotics, Telecommunications, and Signal and Information Processing Technologies, Electric and Hybrid vehicles.
